Les caractères transfert sont des polices de caractères imprimés par planches de différents formats, que l'on peut transférer un à un sur le support de son choix, par frottage au moyen d'un stylet, d'un stylo-bille...

Ce procédé est utilisé majoritairement pour des caractères typographiques, mais aussi pour des motifs décoratifs, des dessins ou divers types de textures (Exemple à gauche)

Dry Transfer lettering by Letraset :
Rare & almost impossible to find like the Pantone poster by Letraset the original Letraset transfert lettering were also used back in the old school days of print. You will find in our shop located in Paris (France), a important choice of fonts. Dry Letraset transfers was decals that can be applied without the use of water or other solvent. The decal is then applied by burnishing the backing with a stylus or similar object such as a ballpoint pen. The contact side of the decal includes a pressure-sensitive adhesive; the combination of heat and pressure causes the decal to stick better to the new surface than to the backing. When the backing is removed, the decal remains !
